Soccer Recap: Franklin Community Takes a Loss

If Franklin Community was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Perry Meridian last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzly Cubs lost 3-0 to the Whiteland Warriors on Wednesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Franklin Community couldn't quite close it out.

Franklin Community's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Whiteland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1.

Looking ahead, Franklin Community is taking a road trip to square off against Triton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whiteland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against New Palestine at 1:00 p.m. Whiteland's defense better be ready for this one: New Palestine have averaged an impressive 4.9 goals per game this season.
