Basketball Game Preview: Community Christian Eagles vs. Union Rockets

Community Christian has gone a perfect 8-0 against Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Community Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Community Christian challenged Calvary Christian on Saturday. The Eagles walked away with a 56-43 victory over the EAGLES.

Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sawyer Briscoe, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave Briscoe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zack Redd, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 16 points and six rebounds.

Community Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Union had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 74-54 to Randolph Southern. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Community Christian strolled past Union when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 65-48. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
