Recap: Bethesda Academy vs. Northside Christian Academy Crusaders
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bethesda Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Northside Christian Academy as Bethesda Academy made off with a 32-6 win. The victory was just business as usual for Bethesda Academy, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Noah Jenkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Jenkins was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Bethesda Academy has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.6 points per game. As for Northside Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
Bethesda Academy will take on Williamsburg Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Williamsburg Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Northside Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
