It was a proper cat-fight when Joliet West took on Plainfield Central on Friday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in April, they had to take a 8-7 defeat.

Joliet West is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-21 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Plainfield Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14-1.

As of now, neither Joliet West nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
