Basketball Recap: Cahokia Comes Up Short

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Centralia Orphans and fell 75-26. The Comanches were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.

Cahokia's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandice McNeese, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Centralia, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Cahokia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-35 loss against Madison on the 20th. As for Centralia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-26 defeat against Belleville East on the 17th.
