Volleyball Recap: Jackson Has No Trouble Against Washington

Jackson barely beat Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ironman/Ironladies put the hurt on the Blue Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Ironman/Ironladies haven't had any issues with the Blue Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-16.

Ella Osborne paced Jackson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Osborne got some help from Daycee Howard and her 27 assists. Howard also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylin Sheppard, racking up three apiece.

The victory got Jackson back to even at 2-2. As for Washington, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jackson will square off against rival Miami Trace at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Washington is set to challenge their familiar foe McClain at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
