Basketball Recap: Northbridge Rams vs. Uxbridge Spartans
It was a good run, but the Northbridge Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Uxbridge by a score of 49-47. Northbridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Ethan Mccusker, who scored 20 points for Uxbridge. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mccusker has scored at least a third of Uxbridge's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Lachapelle, who scored eight points.
Northbridge dropped their record down to 7-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Uxbridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northbridge will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tantasqua Regional will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Uxbridge, they will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
