Baseball Game Preview: Lindhurst Blazers vs. San Juan Spartans

For the second straight game, Lindhurst will face off against San Juan. The Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lindhurst will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against San Juan on Tuesday. The Blazers were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Spartans.

Lindhurst let Jarred Oseguera and Leonel Guzman run wild. Oseguera went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Guzman went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Lindhurst is undefeated when Oseguera posts two or more runs, but 2-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicko Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lindhurst was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Lindhurst has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for San Juan, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
