Rock Creek came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wamego Red Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rock Creek never let Wamego on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23.

Ambree Portelli paced Rock Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Portelli got some help from Brynna Zoeller and her 22 assists. Zoeller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Rock Creek's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Wamego, they dropped their record down to 14-18 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rock Creek beat the Red Raiders by a score of 2-0 later that day.
