Football Recap: Rison Wildcats vs. Rivercrest Colts
Rison and Rivercrest squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rison had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 52-34 to the Rivercrest Colts.
Rivercrest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Young out in front who rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Young has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Cavonta Washington, who rushed for 44 yards and three touchdowns.
Rison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Rivercrest, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
