Jonesboro has gone a perfect 4-0 against Little Rock Southwest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Jonesboro Hurricane will be playing in front of their home fans against the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Jonesboro fell victim to Little Rock Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Hurricane have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Little Rock Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Hot Springs, falling 11-0.

Little Rock Southwest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deonta Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Mitchell's first of the season.

Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Little Rock Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Jonesboro took their victory against Little Rock Southwest when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4. Will Jonesboro repeat their success, or does Little Rock Southwest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
