Baseball Recap: Widefield Comes Up Short

Widefield lost against The Classical Academy back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Widefield Gladiators fell 8-3 to The Classical Academy Titans. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Widefield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Gordon, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Widefield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for The Classical Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Widefield will welcome Littleton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for The Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Junta at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
