Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Takes Down Amite County in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Andrew's Episcopal had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-41 victory over the Amite County Trojans.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cantrell Carter, who posted ten points.

St. Andrew's Episcopal now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Amite County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.

St. Andrew's Episcopal has already played their next contest, a 62-46 loss against Bay Springs on the 15th. Amite County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
