Baseball Recap: Bogue Chitto Has No Trouble Against West Lincoln

Bogue Chitto won the last time they faced West Lincoln and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats blew past the Bears 11-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Tucker Kyzar made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Bogue Chitto got a big performance out of Landon Wright, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Wright is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Magee, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Bogue Chitto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Lincoln only posted a batting average of .250.

Bogue Chitto's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for West Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bogue Chitto beat the Bears by a score of 14-0 later that day.
