Volleyball Recap: Nekoosa Takes a Loss

Nekoosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blair-Taylor Wildcats.

Nekoosa was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Blair-Taylor work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24.

Ariana Rosplock paced Nekoosa's offense, picking up eight kills. Rosplock got some help from Aubrey Boerboom and her 18 assists. Boerboom was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Blair-Taylor, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Nekoosa has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Independence/Gilmanton on the 6th. As for Blair-Taylor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Melrose-Mindoro on the 6th.
