Coal Ridge entered their tilt with Rifle on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Coal Ridge never let Rifle on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-22.

Ava Harlow paced Coal Ridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Harlow got some help from Austin Jensen and her 16 assists. Samantha Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Coal Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Rifle, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coal Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Moffat County on the 18th. As for Rifle, they will take on Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
