A Region VI recap October 8, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. John's, who defeated 162nd ranked Baptist Hill, 12-6.

Dakota Holmes of the Bobcats ran for the longest rushing play in A Region VI this season against the Islanders last week. Holmes ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 121 on the day as his team fell to St. John's.

Baptist Hill's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Troy Harrison has thrown for 1,584 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Holmes has 24 catches for 489 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Marion Brown's team takes on Lincoln. The Bobcats are currently in first, while the Yellowjackets are in fifth.

Cross led the league in scoring this week by notching 32 points on Military Magnet Academy. Diamonte Evans ran for 101 yards in the win.
