Basketball Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kingman Academy last Wednesday, Parker came back down to earth. The matchup between the Parker Broncs and the Horizon Honors Eagles didn't end well, with the Parker Broncs falling 46-27. The Broncs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Horizon Honors found their leader in freshman Alicia Londono, who went 9 of 14 en route to 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Audriana Anglada, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 12 points.

Parker now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Horizon Honors, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Parker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-27 loss against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on the 6th. As for Horizon Honors, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-21 defeat against Fountain Hills on the 6th.
