Softball Recap: Claremont Takes a Loss

Claremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Diamond Bar Brahmas. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Brahmas when the teams met back in March of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Claremont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camilla Walsh, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Claremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Diamond Bar, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Claremont and Diamond Bar could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Claremont (ranked 331st) will meet Upland (ranked 57th) at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Diamond Bar will face off against Ayala at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday down 202 places (222 vs. 20).
