While First Colonial's win against Kempsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots skirted past the Chiefs 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

First Colonial's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Kempsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, First Colonial will venture away from home to square off against Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
