The Wilsonville Wildcats will square off against the Thurston Colts on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Wilsonville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Silverton. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Thurston got a massive performance out of Syren Ferguson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Ferguson has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Daphnie Heckel, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Thurston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 18 consecutive matches.

Thurston's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. As for Wilsonville, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.
