Basketball Game Preview: King Panthers vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

King is 0-10 against Summer Creek since December of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The King Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Summer Creek is hoping to do what Goose Creek Memorial couldn't on Friday: put an end to King's winning streak, which now stands at three games. King simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Goose Creek Memorial 73-39. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-12.

Meanwhile, Summer Creek humbled Atascocita with a 67-34 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Eagles are ranked 385th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

King has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Summer Creek, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9.

King came up short against Summer Creek in their previous matchup back in February, falling 43-33. Can King avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
