Volleyball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmyra-Eagle can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Fall River Pirates on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost nine in a row.

Palmyra-Eagle was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fall River work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-11, 23-25, 25-14.

Palmyra-Eagle's offense was headlined by Brenna Agen and Brooklyn West, who picked up seven kills apiece. West really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Ashlin Adsit controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fall River found their leader in sophomore Aili Majocka, who had seven digs and three aces.

Palmyra-Eagle's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Fall River, they pushed their record up to 16-16 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Palmyra-Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fall River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Abundant Life on the 23rd.
