Leroy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Fruitdale Pirates with a sharp 15-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Leroy's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fruitdale, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Leroy will venture away from home to face off against Millry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fruitdale, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clarke County at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
