Softball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Comes Up Short

Batesburg-Leesville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ninety Six, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ninety Six, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Batesburg-Leesville will challenge rival American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ninety Six is set to square off against their familiar foe Saluda at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 4, the Tigers 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
