Softball Recap: Colby Has No Trouble Against Goodland

Colby waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Goodland Cowboys with a sharp 12-2 win. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Ryler Carter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Carter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jalyssa Sabatka was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddie McCarty, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Colby lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goodland didn't launched any home runs.

Colby's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Goodland: the pair will be back at it again later today.
