Football Recap: Derby Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Derby unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Northwest Catholic Lions on Friday.

Northwest Catholic had a senior duo take command as Vincent Burbank threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes and Kayden Davis picked up 145 receiving yards and three TDs.

Derby didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-6 win against Watertown on the 19th. As for Northwest Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 31-6 victory against Farmington on the 19th.
