Perrysburg has gone 8-2 against Southview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will welcome the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Perrysburg 2.3, Southview 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Southview will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Perrysburg extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets came out on top against Whitmer by a score of 5-1.

Aaron Banks made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Banks was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Lucas Graham was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Southview unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ross.

Perrysburg's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.8 runs this season. As for Southview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Perrysburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Southview when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
