Central and Perryville met for a duel on Tuesday where Central came out on top. The Central Rebels had just enough and edged the Perryville Pirates out 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Central wouldn't go down easily and took Perryville into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 25-15, 18-25, 15-9.
Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-16-1 record this season. As for Perryville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17-1.
Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Potosi on the 23rd. Perryville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
