Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East was the 2-0 winner over Yorkville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bengals fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Plainfield East sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 17-25, 25-21.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Yorkville, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-21.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Plainfield East is set to square off against their familiar foe Bolingbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Yorkville will challenge rival Oswego East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
