Basketball Recap: Andrada Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Andrada Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Empire Ravens 89-19.

Donovan Davidson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Empire, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Davidson a new career-high in steals (five). Gabe Shearer was another key player, putting up 20 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Andrada Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Empire, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season.

Andrada Polytechnic will face off against Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabino knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 matchups -- so hopefully Andrada Polytechnic likes a good challenge. As for Empire, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Empire Ravens duke it out with the Thatcher Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Empire is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.
