The biggest upset of the week belonged to Platte County, who took down 33rd ranked Kearney, 28-27. James Valentine threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns and ran for four yards in the win.
The Pirates moved up to 57 from 92 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban - Blue. Platte County was able to make the jump by beating the Bulldogs 28-27.
Scottie Wilson was the best wideout in the league this week as Bill Utz's team defeated Kearney. Wilson tallied eight receptions for 87 yards. Aliek Reed helped Platte County's passing attack out by catching four balls for 45 yards.
Brock Broughton was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 108 yards as Greg Jones's team topped Greg Jones's team. Cole Davis also contributed to the rushing game with 61 yards on the ground.
Platte County's Valentine and Wilson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Suburban - Blue in both passing and receiving yards. Valentine has thrown for 956 yards this season, while Wilson has 26 catches for 345 yards. The Bulldogs' Broughton leads the league in rushing yards with 867.
Winnetonka extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Oak Park, 47-16. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
