Basketball Recap: Lighthouse College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Lighthouse College Prep Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They took a blow against the River Forest Ingots, falling 62-33. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Ingots are ranked 173rd).

Ya?Hyness Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for River Forest, going 6 of 8 en route to 17 points and six steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Nelson, who posted ten points.

Lighthouse College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for River Forest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Lighthouse College Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-44 loss against Michigan City on the 29th. As for River Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-46 defeat against Kankakee Valley on the 4th.
