Marion hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Charles White Jr that streak is no more. The Marion Swamp Foxes came out on top against the Lake City Panthers by a score of 54-43 on Thursday thanks to White Jr, who posted 20 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Lake City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Fernadez Witherspoon, who put up nine points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Cockfield, who had eight points and 11 boards.

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Lake City, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-9.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-67 defeat against Burke on the 18th. As for Lake City, they have also already played their next game, a 69-34 loss against Philip Simmons on the 18th.
