Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Christian Bulldogs vs. East Central Cardinals

The Lincoln Christian Bulldogs will square off against the East Central Cardinals at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lincoln Christian comes in on five and East Central on four.

Last Friday, Lincoln Christian didn't have too much trouble with Sapulpa as they won 68-53. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Chieftains are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

While East Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Fort Gibson by a score of 67-57 on Saturday.

East Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Lincoln Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Everything went Lincoln Christian's way against East Central when the teams last played back in January of 2022, as Lincoln Christian made off with a 51-30 win. Will Lincoln Christian repeat their success, or does East Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
