Football Game Preview: Wakefield Warriors vs. Washington-Liberty Generals

For the first time this season, Wakefield will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Washington-Liberty Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Washington-Liberty likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Wakefield got the win against Justice by a conclusive 33-12. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Judah Connor was his usual excellent self, throwing for 352 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 79.5% of his passes. Those 352 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Xavier Winkelmann also helped out with an impressive 127 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty came up short against Centreville on Friday and fell 35-28. The loss was the Generals' first of the season.

Wakefield's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Washington-Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.

Wakefield took a serious blow against Washington-Liberty in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 38-7. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
