Basketball Recap: W.E.B. DuBois Academy Triumphs

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions beat the Shawnee Golden Eagles 58-52.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Shawnee, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy has already played their next matchup, a 67-61 loss against Oldham County on the 1st. As for Shawnee, they will take on Western at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Western knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Shawnee likes a good challenge.
