Soccer Game Preview: Montclair vs. Ontario

The Montclair Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Ontario Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Montclair will be strutting in after a victory while Ontario will be coming in after a defeat.

If Ontario heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Montclair took over last week. Montclair put the hurt on Don Lugo with a sharp 4-1 win on Wednesday. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 710th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ontario duked it out withDiamond Ranch on Wednesday. Ontario fell 2-0 to Diamond Ranch.

Montclair has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Ontario, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-4.
