Baseball Recap: Westfield Technical Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Westfield Technical Academy dropped their record down to 15-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Old Colony RVT Cougars. The shutout was out of character for the Tigers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Old Colony RVT, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games.

For Old Colony RVT's part, Camden Vallee was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Vallee has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Deree, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield Technical Academy will challenge Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Old Colony RVT, they will square off against Upper Cape Cod RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
