Soccer Recap: Salem Hills Takes a Loss

Salem Hills lost against Pleasant Grove back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Vikings who were credited with the win. The Pleasant Grove Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Salem Hills Skyhawks' two. Salem Hills have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Iris Larsen, who's now up to three this season.

Salem Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Pleasant Grove, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Salem Hills is set to face off against their familiar foe Payson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove will take on rival Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
