Baseball Recap: Germantown Academy Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Germantown Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Devon Prep Tide by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sean McGettigan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Nate Knapp was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Lucas Albert was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Germantown Academy will challenge La Salle College at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Devon Prep, they will welcome Episcopal Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Devon Prep is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
