Shawnee hasn't had much luck against Indian Lake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Braves will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lakers at 5:15 p.m. Shawnee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Shawnee will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Indian Lake, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Braves came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 6-1 on Monday.

Alee Trimmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Emma George was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Maura Simpson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Indian Lake now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Shawnee, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
