Basketball Game Preview: Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles vs. Newmarket Mules

Portsmouth Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Newmarket recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Newmarket Mules at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Newmarket will be up against a hot Portsmouth Christian Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Portsmouth Christian Academy claimed a resounding 59-13 win over Epping. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 86th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Newmarket was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Nute 46-8.

Portsmouth Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Newmarket, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Things could have been worse for Portsmouth Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-27 loss to Newmarket in their previous matchup back in January of 2024.
