Softball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

If Cimarron-Memorial was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Desert Pines last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Rancho Rams by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

Taylor Ramos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

Cimarron-Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Rancho, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Cimarron-Memorial will be playing at home against Legacy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho, they will square off against Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
