Softball Game Preview: Frontier Titans vs. Stockdale Mustangs

For the second straight game, Frontier will face off against Stockdale. The Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Frontier's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Stockdale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Frontier fell victim to Stockdale and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. It was the first time this season that the Titans let down their fans at home.

Taylor Sloss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Frontier saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keira Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Stockdale's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
