Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lakeside Christian

Lakeside Christian entered their tilt with Seven Rivers Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-4 back in March.

Jamisen Rheintgen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Christine Trofemuk was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jaci Morris, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Lakeside Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seven Rivers Christian struck out seven times.

Lakeside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Seven Rivers Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Lakeside Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against Sarasota Christian at 3:30 p.m. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 12-11 win against Saint Francis Catholic on the 10th.
