Basketball Recap: Brookside's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Brookside was feeling good fresh off their 80-60 takedown of Columbia last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Brookside Cardinals took an 87-82 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Ridgeville Rangers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (80), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Brookside's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for North Ridgeville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookside will square off against Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brookside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. As for North Ridgeville, they will head out to take on Midview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Ridgeville is facing Midview at the right time seeing as Midview is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
