 If Indy Genesis HomeSchool was feeling good  off their  11-2 takedown of Christian Educational Consortium on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indy Genesis HomeSchool  Indy Genesis took  an  11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LKY Saints on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Indy Genesis HomeSchool of the  5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
  Keyton Smith was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last six games he's  played.
 On LKY's side,  Marshall McCartney made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. McCartney was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nate Armani, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Noah Saunders, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Indy Genesis HomeSchool has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record  this season. As for LKY, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-10.
 Indy Genesis HomeSchool is on the road again  on Saturday to play Bethesda Christian at 7:00  p.m. LKY does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
