Volleyball Game Preview: Raton Tigers vs. Estancia Bears + Official Tickets

The Raton Tigers will take on the Estancia Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Raton has four straight victories, Estancia has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Raton barely beat Pecos the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Thursday.

One reason for the win was Raton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Estancia came up short against Clayton on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Estancia was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Raton's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Estancia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Raton was able to grind out a solid victory over Estancia in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
