It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Rolling Meadows ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Elk Grove Grenadiers  7-6. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team  relied heavily on  Caylee Del Boccio, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Brand, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  RBI and one  run.
 Rolling Meadows  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are 6-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
